Terms of Service

The short version. Honeycomb is still in development and accounts are not open yet. You can reserve a founding member place, but no payment is taken and your card is not charged. We will write to you before anything is ever billed.
1. Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by Christina Willner, a sole proprietor based in Jonen, Canton Aargau, Switzerland. “We” and “us” below mean her. Honeycomb is an independent project and is not operated by or on behalf of any other company. By using this site you accept these terms.
2. Where the product actually is
The rest of this site describes Honeycomb as the product it is being built to be. To be plain here, in the place where it matters: Honeycomb is not open to users yet. There is no account you can create today and no service you can log into today. Anyone who tries is told so immediately. We are not promising a launch date, and no description on this site should be read as a guarantee that a particular feature will ship.
3. Founding member pre-orders
The checkout on this site reserves a founding member place at a fixed price. It does not complete a purchase. No payment is processed, no charge is made, and card details entered into that form are not transmitted to us and are not stored anywhere. You will be told this on the page immediately after you submit it.
No contract of sale comes into existence at that point and you owe us nothing. Before any money is ever taken from anyone, we will contact you by email, tell you what you are being asked to pay, and give you the chance to say no or do nothing. If we never launch, you will never be billed and there is nothing for you to cancel.
4. Prices
Prices shown are what we intend to charge when Honeycomb opens, and a founding member place fixes the price shown at the time you reserved it. Prices may otherwise change before launch. Displaying a price here is not a binding offer to sell at that price.
5. Your email address
If you leave your email we will use it to tell you when Honeycomb opens and, occasionally, to ask you something about what we are building. Nothing else. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to support@usehoneycomb.io. How we handle it is set out in the Privacy Policy.
6. Using the site sensibly
Read it, share it, quote it, argue with it. Do not attempt to break into it, overwhelm it, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, submit other people's personal data through the forms, or use it to distribute anything unlawful. We may block access if you do.
7. Our content
The text, design, logo and name on this site belong to us. You are welcome to link to any of it and to quote reasonable extracts with attribution. Wholesale copying of the site, or use of the Honeycomb name and logo for your own product, is not permitted.
8. Other people's sites and products
We link to other sites, and we compare Honeycomb to other products by name. Those comparisons reflect published pricing and features as at the date noted beside them, and those companies change things without telling us. Check their own pages before relying on any of it. We are not responsible for anything on a site we link to.
9. No warranty
This site is provided as it is. We have tried to make it accurate, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors, continuously available, or fit for any particular purpose you have in mind.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product develops, and the date at the top will change when we do. The version published here is the one that applies. When Honeycomb opens as a paid product these terms will be replaced with terms covering the service itself, and anyone holding a founding member place will be told before that happens.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Switzerland, and the courts at our domicile have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory rules of your own country.
