Comparison
Honeycomb vs Canny
Canny is the tool most founders find first, and it is good at what it does. The catch is how it bills: by tracked user. The more of your users talk to you, the bigger the invoice.
Side by side
| Honeycomb | Canny | |
|---|---|---|
| How you are charged | Flat monthly price, end users never metered | Per tracked user, meaning anyone tied to a piece of feedback or a vote |
| Entry price | $19/mo ($15 annual) | From $79/mo annual, at 100 tracked users |
| Cost with ~1,000 users who might leave feedback | $19/mo | $529/mo annually, $661/mo monthly |
| Seat minimum | None | None, but managers are capped per plan |
| Free plan | Yes, 50 pieces of feedback a month with unlimited people leaving them | Yes, 25 tracked users, then it upgrades you to a paid tier unless you set a spend limit |
| Time-limited voting rounds with points | Yes, the core of how it works | Not offered |
Canny pricing read from their pricing page on 25 August 2026. Honeycomb is pre-launch; the price shown is what it will open at.
Where Canny is the better choice
- It exists today, is mature, and thousands of teams run on it.
- Deep integrations with Intercom, Jira, Linear, Slack and the rest.
- Roadmap and changelog are built in. If you want those in the same tool, Honeycomb will not give them to you.
- If your product is B2B with a small number of named accounts, tracked-user pricing may never bite you.
Where Honeycomb is a different bet
- Flat price. A thousand people leaving feedback costs the same as ten.
- Voting rounds with points to allocate and a closing date, instead of one permanent leaderboard.
- Templates that let the feedback page actually look like your product.
- Feedback collection only. No ticketing, no chat, nothing bundled in that you are quietly paying for.
So which one
Pick Canny if you are B2B with a manageable number of accounts, you want a roadmap and changelog in the same product, and you need something you can switch on this afternoon.
Pick Honeycomb if you sell to consumers or have a lot of users relative to your revenue, you want everyone to be able to weigh in without it costing you, and you want a real answer each month rather than a list that never changes.
